A body of water, smaller than a river, contained within relatively narrow banks: The thing you push around the grocery store: A metal container to carry a meal in: The thing that you cook bacon and eggs in: The piece of furniture that seats three people: The device on the outside of the house that carries rain off the roof: The covered area outside a house where people sit in the evening: Carbonated, sweetened, non-alcoholic beverages: A flat, round breakfast food served with syrup: A long sandwich designed to be a whole meal in itself: The piece of clothing worn by men at the beach: Shoes worn for sports: A flying insect that glows in the dark: The little insect that curls up into a ball: The children's playground equipment where one kid sits on one side and goes up while the other sits on the other side and goes down: How you eat pizza: Where private citizens sell their household goods/stuff in their driveway/front yard: The thing under a house where the furnace and perhaps a rec room are: The thing that you can get water out of to drink in public places:

10:10 pm - Leaving on a jet plane
|
So I don't think I ever mentioned it here, but I'm spending Christmas and New Years in Australia.
In fact, I neglected mentioning it here for so long, that I'm finally saying it while I'm in LA waiting to get on a plane to Sydney. Then from Sydney to Melbourne and Melbourn Int'l to Tilly's house :D

7:32 pm - Read a book
|
1) Grab the nearest book. Don't you dare dig for that "cool" or "intellectual" book in your closet! I know you were thinking about it! Just pick up whatever is closest (unless it's too troublesome to reach and is really heavy). 2) Open the book to page 123. 3) Find the fifth sentence. 4) Post the text of the next 4-7 sentences on your LJ along with these instructions.
"'There is no danger of him publishing any thing of which you disapprove; he is known as one of most honourable men in the kingdom. His first wish will be to please you, I am quite certain.'
Somewhat reluctantly Mr. Norrell agreed to meet Lord POrtishead and Mr. Drawlight wrote a letter summoning him to Hanover-square."
Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell, by Susanna Clarke.

12:22 pm - The Great Escape
|
So, for the second time in my life, I've moved out of my parents house.
Though, this time, it's for real reals, not for college >.>
I'm lounging about my new apartment. It's odd having a place to myself, but I should savor it while it lasts. My roommates are planning on coming here the 12th.
I'm kind of freaked out about the whole thing, and they're kind of anxious too, I'm certain. Provided they can get jobs in a hurry, everything should be fine, and if I ever get promoted at my job, I'd be able to handle rent and everything solo, and, hell...I probably could right now. It'd suck though.
But whatever. It's gonna be at least six months of relative independence. Regardless of how it ends, it should be fun.

1:47 pm - Pathetic
|
So, I'm moving in less than two weeks. This is an actual move, not like going away to college. I'm trying to clear out as much of my stuff from my room. This means throwing a lot of crap out. Like...a LOT. I'm a ridiculous packrat. I still have, for some ungodly reason, a breakup note given to me by a girl in 10th grade.
Anyways, as I was sorting through stuff, I found this notebook. Of course, I opened it, to see what it was...And it's not mine. The handwriting doesn't match up, and there's actual attempts at drawing in it. I've never really tried to draw on my free time, though I think I probably should.
Anyways, there's some class notes, interspersed with doodles, interspersed with random other stuff...But about halfway through, the author, who I've since determined is my best friend from Elementary School(who shall remain anonymous), started writing a story. But then he gave up, and started rambling. I will now transcribe his wisdom for you. I'm afraid the creative use of alternate spellings and unique grammar may be integral to the understanding of this piece, however I will try to preserve them as best I can:
I see now why people run to the light it is because they are afraid of the dark
As I sit here in the dark I write there is a crack of moonlight creeping in threw the window It doesnt light this paper but I wright still the pen flowing
I don't know if this is even legible
In this dark place I have found but I now realize darkness is the death people fear I have let go of my fear and embraced death
Day by day we live our lives never knowing what lies beyond this pathetic antfarm we have built for ourselves all I know is that
I am pure
I have moved on I am enlightened by the dark a world created by far and hatred of the unknown
If you are reading this now then know that there is nothing wrong with me I have simply overcome the obstacle that blocks all of our paths
There is no way of knowing what lies ahead but if you fear it it will come if you accept it then find your release.

It occurs to me that if I keep thinking about it I'll go insane, so the best thing to do is to stop thinking about it. But that might just be delaying the process.

9:09 pm - When Your Heart Stops Beating
|
So there's this friend of mine...She's a pretty good friend. I knew her in High School, but we never hung out much back then, and now, we got back in touch via myspace(go ahead, laugh), and we're pretty good friends now. We had sex once...I'm pretty sure it was a one time thing. It's kind of odd for me, really. This is the first time I've known a girl and really want to sleep with her, but have pretty much no desire to be anything but friends with her.
Anyways, it recently came to my attention that she thinks she's hurting me somehow, and she's avoiding me.
I guess, what I'm trying to say here...
Women? Stop being retarded. Please.

1:31 pm - THIS MEME IS SILLY.
|
I was given P by demonicsquid.
Pants - You probably saw this coming. Pajamas - I hear great things about lounging around the house naked, but I really, REALLY like wearing pajama bottoms. People - If they're not intelligent and fun to talk to, they're stupid and fun to laugh at. Pie - For serious. Progressive Music - Whether it's rock, metal, anything...The word "progressive" usually means "interesting to listen to". Popcorn - Kettle corn, preferably. Mmm, salty treats. Pipe Organs - The music geek in me says so. Pipes - I plan on spending my old age rocking on my front porch, smoking pipe tobacco from an old-school style pipe, and reading books. Phonetics - Along with the rest of linguistics. It's what I'd like to go to college for someday. Pussy - Sorry. I had to go there.
Comment and I'll give you a letter; then you have to list ten things you love that begin with that letter. Afterward, post this in your journal and give out some letters of your own.

1:14 am - Wasting my time
|
So, little about my job...I work 4 days a week, 10 hour days, nightshift. So I get to pull full time, AND a three day weekend. Which actually includes the better part of 4 days, since it's night shift.
Anyways. Shift lead for the night says we get to go home an hour early. I think this sounds awesome, cause I may lose an hour of pay, but I get to go home early...
Then I realize...I'm going home an hour early, but I'm still working 10 hours.
Fuck. Daylight. Savings.
